A Tribute to the Legend, Anthony Bourdain.

Few people influenced the way we think about food quite like Anthony Bourdain. While he traveled the world in search of unforgettable meals, one of the sandwiches he became most closely associated with was surprisingly simple: mortadella, provolone, mayonnaise, and Dijon mustard.

In many ways, the sandwich reflected the man himself. Unpretentious, honest, and never trying to be something it wasn’t. Bourdain had a way of finding beauty in simple things and reminding us that great food doesn’t need to be complicated to be memorable.

We stayed true to the spirit of the original, making one small adjustment of our own to help the flavors come together a little more seamlessly while preserving everything that made the sandwich special in the first place.

Tony’s Favorite is our tribute to a man who taught us that food is about more than what’s on the plate. It’s about people, stories, and shared experiences. In many ways, that philosophy is what Between Friends is all about. Every sandwich on our menu has a story, every name has a face behind it, and every order is inspired by a real person.
