The Story Behind Between Friends
HOW IT ALL STARTED
Hi, I'm Sergio.
As a longtime sandwich lover, I knew I wanted to build a sandwich concept, but I wasn't exactly sure what it should be. I had plenty of ideas and directions I could take, but none of them felt quite right.
Around that time, I started asking family, friends, coworkers, and anyone I talked to a simple question:
"What's your go-to sandwich?"
What started as a casual conversation quickly became something more. Everyone had a favorite order - the sandwich they always came back to, the one they'd recommend without hesitation, the one that felt uniquely theirs.
The more conversations I had, the more I realized I wasn't looking for inspiration in recipes. I was finding it in people.
That's how Between Friends was born.
Every sandwich on our menu is inspired by a real person and their go-to order.
